Art exhibitions are periodically scheduled at private galleries or organizations as well as at the main venue: The Penang State Art Gallery at Dewan Sri Penang.

The Pinang Gallery at Dewan Sri Penang

Dewan Sri Pinang is a building located at the end the Esplanade. The Pinang gallery is located on two different rooms in the building. On the ground floor, you see the main entrance as in the picture above. This area has the viewing floor, together with an information desk. Over here, current exhibitions are held.

On the third floor (a bit tricky to find since you have to exit this door and go up the stairs), the permanent collection is housed. The permanent collection seemed a bit old and musty and not many people go visit this section.

Entrance to this art gallery is free.
