Types of Gems
Types of gems are listed
here in alphabetical order. Sometimes some gems can have variations than
in their typical colors. However their chemical compositions, when studied,
reveal their type.
People who are apt in this art (called gemologists) normally can tell the
types of gems by touching or observing the stones. I cannot claim that I
am an expert in this field but I am always learning.
Please note some of the gems listed are not available in
Splendour Jewelleries collection,
however you may contact me further
if you have any related questions.
